An Garda Síochána have stood down a search for a Waterford man who was missing for five days.

Emmet O’Reilly (39) was reported missing from Kilmacthomas, Co. Waterford since Thursday, June 25.

Gardaí confirmed on Saturday evening that Mr O’Reilly had been found safe and well.

In a statement, a Garda spokesperson thanked the media and the public for their assistance.
