Waterford City and County Council has issued a road alert advising motorists and commuters of two scheduled lifts of Rice Bridge on Friday morning.

The bridge will be lifted at 7:15am and again at 8:30am, with temporary traffic disruptions expected during both operations.

Drivers are being urged to plan their journeys in advance and allow extra travel time, particularly during the busy morning commute. Delays are likely while the bridge is raised to facilitate river traffic before normal traffic flow resumes.

Waterford City and County Council has thanked the public for their patience and cooperation and encourages road users to consider alternative routes where possible during the scheduled bridge lifts.
