A planning application has been submitted for the construction of 64 homes in Waterford city.

The proposed development is located within the partly completed River Park, Bowefield estate.

If approved, the development would consist of a mixture of semi-detached, terraced, detached and apartment units.

The development would also include new vehicular and pedestrian access from the public road, along with all associated site development works.

The site is located at Gibbet Hill on an undeveloped greenfield area.

Waterford City and County Council is expected to make a decision on the application by June 18th.
