A motorcyclist is receiving treatment in University Hospital Waterford following a crash between a car and a motorcycle yesterday evening just after 9:30pm.

Gardai and emergency services attended the scene on Tycor Road in Waterford City.

Road closures were in place for a time yesterday evening along the Keane’s Road area from Azzurri Walsh Park to Tycor.

A motorcyclist, aged in his 40s was taken to University Hospital Waterford for treatment of his injuries, which are understood to be not life-threatening.

Gardai are continuing investigations into the collision.
