A man who was involved in an accident in Kilmacthomas last week has passed away.
The man, aged in his 50s, is understood to have been attempting to clear a pole from the road last Wednesday afternoon when he fell from a machine he was standing on, sustaining serious injuries.
James Barron, who was from Garranturton, Kilmathomas, was taken to Cork University Hospital where he passed away on Sunday.
His family have thanked the emergency services who attended the scene - the first responders, air ambulance crew, and the ICU team in the hospital.
