Gardaí say their inquiries are ongoing into an accident that saw a man badly injured in Kilmacthomas.
It happened yesterday afternoon (Wednesday, April 12th) during the status yellow wind warning.
WLR News understands the man, aged in his 50s, was attempting to clear a pole that had fallen on the road when he fell from a machine.
He remains in hospital where is being treated for serious injuries.
