A man is due to appear in court this morning in relation to the discovery of a woman’s body in West Waterford.

Gardaí are continuing to investigate all of the circumstances surrounding the discovery of 81-year-old Noreen Daly’s body at Ardsallagh near Youghal Bridge on Monday afternoon.

A man aged in his thirties was arrested yesterday, in connection with the investigation, and has since been charged.

He is expected to appear before Carrick-on-Suir District Court this morning, at approximately 10.30am.

Investigations are ongoing.
