A juvenile male passenger was seriously injured following a single-vehicle road traffic collision in Ballyedmond, Clonberne, Ballinasloe last night.

Gardaí attended the scene of the collision, which occurred late during the night of Saturday August 22 along the R328.

The injured juvenile was taken from the scene by ambulance to University Hospital Galway for medical treatment.

Gardaí are understood to have attended the scene and enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the collision are ongoing.

In a statement to Extra.ie, a garda spokesperson said: ‘Gardaí attended the scene of a single vehicle RTC at Ballyedmond, Clonberne, Ballinasloe on the night of Saturday 22nd August, 2026.

‘A male passenger, juvenile was serious injured and removed from the scene to University Hospital Galway.

‘Investigations ongoing.’
