High temperature warning for Waterford extended

A Status Yellow high temperature warning for nine counties has been extended into Friday evening.
Twenty counties in the Midlands, West and South are already under a similar advisory until midday on Friday.
Waterford as well as Carlow, Kilkenny, Laois, Offaly, Cork, Limerick, and Tipperary will see their warning extended, while Wexford will also be placed under the warning lasting until 8pm on Friday.
A six-week hosepipe ban is now in force in Dublin, South Tipperary, parts of Kildare, Meath, Wexford and Wicklow.
It’s set to remain in place until August 26th.
Uisce Eireann is urging people to reduce their non-essential water use to protect supplies for homes, hospitals, and vulnerable customers.
