Waterford communities have picked up a series of awards at this year’s SuperValu TidyTowns South East regional ceremony.

The awards recognise work in environmental improvement, biodiversity and community presentation.

Ardmore took a Gold Medal and the county award, and was also named the Village or Small Town regional winner in the Pollinator Award.

Ballymacarbry and Dungarvan also secured Gold Medals, while Lismore and Stradbally picked up Gold alongside additional commendations.

Tramore was awarded a Bronze Medal, while Dunhill picked up an endeavour award.

In the special awards, Clashmore was named regional runner-up in the Waters and Communities category, while St Declan’s National School in Ardmore won the regional school award.
