
George Corbett Motors has been named the overall winner at the 2026 Waterford Digital Awards.

The awards, which were organised by the Waterford Local Enterprise Office in partnership with Waterford City and County Council, were presented at Dooley’s Hotel on Friday evening. They awards recognise small and medium-sized businesses across Co. Waterford that have embraced digital technology and innovation to grow their businesses.
Newly elected Mayor of Waterford City and County, Cllr Liam Brazil, praised the finalists and winners, saying digital marketing has enabled local businesses to connect with customers “in a faster and smarter way” while describing their achievements as “truly inspirational.”

Founded in 1995, George Corbett Motors was recognised for its digital transformation, which has seen the company introduce a connected marketing and sales system that tracks the customer journey from initial online engagement through to vehicle sales.
Digital Marketing Manager Chelsey Walsh said the new system has allowed the business to better understand customer interactions and credited the award to the team’s collective efforts.
George Corbett Motors also took home the Best Digital Transformation award, while the other category winners were: TEFL Institute of Ireland – Best E-Commerce Business, Adara – Best Use of Social Media and MindPath – Best Digital Marketing Campaign.

Each category winner received €1,000 towards technical advice, photography, videography and marketing, while George Corbett Motors received an additional €2,500 as the overall winner.
Acting Head of Enterprise at the Local Enterprise Office Waterford, Jacqui Gaule, said the standard of entries reflected the innovation and strength of businesses across the county. She added that the Digital for Business programme continues to help local companies strengthen their online presence and adopt new digital solutions.
