A Waterford honey producer has been recognised at the 2026 Blas na hÉireann Irish Food Awards.

Dungarvan Honey, a family-run business based in West Waterford, secured a silver award for its Blossom Honey, recognising the quality and taste of its locally produced product.

The business produces raw Irish honey in small batches, moving its beehives with the seasons while promoting sustainable beekeeping practices and supporting native Irish honeybees.

Its products are stocked in SuperValu stores.

The Blas na hÉireann awards are among Ireland’s most prestigious food and drink competitions, recognising outstanding products from producers across the country.

Entries are blind-tasted by a judging panel drawn from across Ireland’s food sector, with awards presented based on quality and taste.

Thousands of products are entered into more than 200 food and drink categories each year, showcasing the diversity and quality of Irish produce.

The recognition marks another achievement for Dungarvan Honey and highlights the contribution of small, family-run food businesses in Waterford to Ireland’s growing artisan food sector.
