The Irish Coast Guard Tramore Unit was called to assist a woman following an incident at Tramore Beach on Sunday evening.
The unit’s pagers were activated by the Marine Rescue Coordination Centre (MRCC) Dublin, requesting the team respond to the beach to assist a woman with suspected leg injuries.
On arrival, the casualty was assessed by the Coast Guard team before being safely transferred by stretcher to a waiting National Ambulance Service ambulance for further medical care.
The Tramore Coast Guard Unit thanked all team members for their quick response, along with colleagues from the National Ambulance Service for their assistance.
The casualty has been wished a full and speedy recovery.
