
A burst mains pipe in Tramore near the racecourse overnight has caused widespread low water pressure this morning for many homes and businesses.
Roadworks as part of the Actzive Travel works are ongoing in the area, with work focused at the moment in the area surrounding the racecourse roundabout.
In the early hours of the morning, a burst mains in the area currently worked on was observed, with large volumes of water seen pouring across the road for several hours.
Homes this morning have reported very low water pressure, with many homes reporting no water at all.
A hosepipe ban remains in effect for Waterford until the end of this month.
Uisce Eireann have confirmed they are aware of the issue and works are due to be completed on the burst mains at 4pm today, Friday September 4th.
