
Welsh music legend Bonnie Tyler, famous for hits including “Total Eclipse of the Heart,” “Holding Out for a Hero,” and “It’s a Heartache,” has died aged 75.
A statement from her family said they were “heartbroken” to announce her unexpected death in hospital in Portugal following an illness she was being treated for.
They added “Bonnie’s family and team are heartbroken to announce that Bonnie unexpectedly passed away last night in hospital in Portugal as a result of the illness that she was being treated for.
“We will issue a further statement shortly but for now ask for privacy to deal with this tragedy.”
Bonnie Tyler became one of the most recognisable voices in music, with her powerful vocals and emotional performances earning her worldwide fame.
Her biggest songs remain classics loved by generations of fans.
