A new chapter in Waterford’s growing dragon boat community began this week as the newly formed Blackwater Dragon Boat Club officially launched its new boat in Villierstown, with support from the experienced team at Waterford Dragon Boat Club.

The launch marks an exciting milestone for the new club, which will be based along the River Blackwater in Villierstown and is set to bring a new sporting opportunity to the local community.

Over the coming months, members will begin training and working towards their qualifications, with the ambition of being fully operational and regularly on the water for the start of next season.
