The inaugural Boat Rock Ballymacaw Big Swim was a huge success, with swimmers and supporters turning out in force on Saturday, August 8th, for a fantastic day of community spirit and fundraising.
Participants took on either the 750m or 350m swim, with a brilliant atmosphere throughout the event. The strong turnout and encouragement from spectators highlighted the tremendous support within the local community.

The event was held in aid of Carbally Community Centre, with organisers, volunteers and supporters all playing a key role in making the day such a success.
Joanne Carroll who is well known in the locality for giving up her time for community events took to social media to share pictures of the event saying ” well done to everyone who took the plunge for the Carbally Community Centre”.
With such a positive response, the Boat Rock Ballymacaw Big Swim looks set to become a much-loved local tradition for years to come.
