Appeal for witnesses after pedestrian dies in Kilkenny collision

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision in County Kilkenny,
The collision on the R693 near Arigan Bridge, Cooleshal, Freshford, occurred at approximately 9:30am yesterday (Wednesday) and involved a van and a pedestrian.
The pedestrian (a man in his 30s) was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body was removed to University Hospital Waterford for a port-mortem examination.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to come forward. Any road users who were travelling from Freshford towards Kilkenny between the hours of 9am and 9.30am yesterday morning and who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
