Someone call Dermot Bannon, as Daniel O’Donnell and his wife Majella have a new home to put their stamp on!
While Donegal will always be home for the couple, who are celebrating 25 years of marriage in 2026, they’ve recently purchased a new home in Co Wicklow.
They’re not quite into the property yet as there’s a little bit of work to do, but Majella hopes it won’t be much longer until they’re calling the new pad home.

Chatting as an exhibition featuring some of their clothing and personal items was unveiled at Newbridge Silverware, Majella said: ‘It’s Wicklow, but it’s our Dublin base really, as it’s only about 20 minutes away.
She added: ‘We’re doing some work. I’d say by the end of the summer we’ll start moving stuff in.’
‘Yes, it’s handy to have a base closer to Dublin, we’re excited about it,’ added Daniel. ‘We’ll be coming and going from there.’

Time will tell how many en-suite bathrooms they end up having, but we are quietly confident that there’ll be a few.
After all, Daniel was insistent on one for every bedroom at their Kincasslagh home when they appeared on Room To Improve in 2018, much to Dermot’s amusement.

As well as the house project, 2026 is shaping up to be a big year for the couple on the family front as they’re getting ready to welcome another grandchild.
Majella’s daughter Siobhan has three children, Olivia, who is ten, Archie, who’s eight, and Luke, who’s four, while her son Michael has one-year-old Jack and another baby on the way.
