Una Healy is loving the sober lifestyle after going months without drinking any alcohol.

The mum-of-two marked five months of giving up drinking alcohol on Tuesday and celebrated the moment by indulging in her sweet tooth instead, with an ice cream.

She subsequently revealed that she was blown away by the response she’s received and decided to open up about how she’s finding life without booze.

Una also spoke of why she has decided to speak out at this point.

‘I’ve had quite the response to my story there, cheering with my ice cream five months off the drink,’ she said.

Una continued: ‘Those of you who know me know I’ve quit, but I just said I’d put it out there because it’s just easier when you’re asked like “What are you having to drink?”

‘[Replying] “I don’t drink” and having to explain yourself and all of that,’ she explained.

Una’s followers also asked her if she was finding it tough going, to which she replied: ‘It is hard.

‘Sometimes you feel like you’re missing out, but you’re out missing out on that rotten hangover! Feeling like s***e!

Una also touched on whether she will stay off alcohol permanently, saying: ‘Is it for good? I hope so.

‘I’m grateful for every day, and if it’s one day without feeling like s**t because of drink, then bring it on.’
