Ireland ace Troy Parrott and his girlfriend Lauren Bowry are taking a break from the pressures of life while they enjoy a lavish holiday in the Bahamas.

The couple, who have been together for nearly five years, previously travelled to Miami before heading to the holiday island, located around 80 km from the coast of Florida.

Troy is currently enjoying a hiatus from the pitch amid the ongoing World Cup.

The Republic of Ireland narrowly missed out on qualifying for this year’s tournament back in March in a heartbreaking face-off against Czechia.

Despite support from fans like never before, it wasn’t to be for the Irish squad, and Czechia progressed to the tournament, which is currently taking place in the US.

Taking to TikTok, Troy’s partner, Lauren, posted a sweet video of their time on holiday so far, including a clip of the pair enjoying some alone time on a stunning beach.

The video showed the pair admiring the turquoise ocean as they hugged. Lauren captioned the clip: ‘Life sounds a lot like this.’

Troy has lived in the Netherlands for almost two years now, after joining AZ Alkmaar on a permanent transfer in the summer of 2024.

Speaking to the Independent about the move, he said: ‘I live close to Amsterdam, it’s a good place to live. I have my girlfriend over, and my family can come over easily; it’s a short flight from Dublin.’

Born in Croydon, England, Lauren rose to prominence in 2020 when she appeared on the reality competition series Little Mix: The Search as a member of the girl group MELLADAZE.

According to social media, Lauren and Troy began their romance just one year after appearing on the show.

Then, in April 2022, Lauren ‘hard launched’ their romance on Instagram, sharing a charming black-and-white photograph of the pair, with the caption ‘<3’
