Get ready to trust no one and pretend you’re “not a hugger” – The Traitors Ireland is officially back.
The game show, which follows a group of faithfuls and a group of traitors trying to suss each other, was a smash hit last year — with faithfuls Oyin, Vanessa and Kelley sharing the €50,000 prize.
With a second season confirmed to be in development before the end of season one leading to a huge influx of applications, RTÉ confirmed that season two of The Traitors is just around the corner.
The Traitors Season two – everything we know

RTÉ One confirmed the return of The Traitors in a video of the show’s host, Siobhán McSweeney, reading ‘The Faithful’s Fable,’ foreshadowing what to expect in season two.
‘There are ominous omens written in signs, killing sprees foretold in inky skies,’ the ‘fable’ reads. ‘Deathly distractions! Conjured by treachery and lies.
‘Futures are undermined; fortunes are on the line,’ a reference to the €50,000 grand prize. ‘So a traitor they must faithfully find. Against the ticking hands of time.’

‘You see, within us all, a traitor waits,’ she concludes, before telling the camera what we’re all thinking: ‘it’s gonna be deadly.’
As for when The Traitors Ireland returns, RTÉ has confirmed to mark your calendars for Sunday, August 30 at 9.30pm on RTÉ One and the RTÉ Player.
People are delighted at the show’s return, with one commenting: ‘SO. READY.’
