Jessie J has given her fans a hopeful update in her ongoing battle with breast cancer.

The Price Tag singer, 38, revealed that she was diagnosed with breast cancer last June.

Telling her followers that ‘your girl needs a hug’ following her diagnosis, thankfully, it was caught early, and Jessie said that she was taking a break from social media earlier this month.

Jessie has since undergone two reconstructive surgeries following her diagnosis, and she got the all-clear in May after having a mastectomy and breast reconstruction surgery.

In a hopeful update to her fans, said that the second breast reconstruction surgery went well, telling her followers: ‘So I just got home from my second surgery. And it all went well. I just wanted to tell you that it all went okay.

‘Yeah man, life is good. Sending love. Good energy. See you soon.’

Jessie has had an eventful few years, including suffering a miscarriage, becoming a mother, and her breast cancer diagnosis; she’s since confirmed earlier this month that she’d be taking a break from social media after everything took its toll on her mentally.

‘I want to start this post off by saying I am ok. I am not at my best but very far from my worst. I know people can twist these kinds of posts,’ Jessie wrote at the time. ‘It’s no secret that the last 2 years have been magical, successful, life changing and extremely busy.

‘The past 2 years has taken a toll on parts of me that I haven’t had time to give space and grace to… now’s the time. Work has slowed down. So healing speeds up please.’

‘I’m tapping out of this [world] for a while and into my real one. To give my mind, body and heart a well needed hug.’
