Singer-Songwriter Gavin James is on cloud nine today with his brand new fiancée, Stefania Mylon.
The chart-topping musician popped the question to his Greek girlfriend of ten years on Tuesday and of course, she said ‘yes’.
The couple have been going strong for a decade since they met when Stefania was visiting friends in Ireland, and Gavin was couch-surfing at a friend’s house while he was forging a music career.
Gavin, known for being relatively private about his personal life, revealed that he didn’t tell Stefania about his success in the music industry at first and chose to keep it simple, telling her only that music was his passion and that he loved it.
However, while the couple were enjoying Bruce Springsteen in concert in Ireland, and strangers started chatting to Gavin, posing for selfies and asking for autographs, Stefania realised just how well-known he was.
The couple were brimming with happiness this week, with a beaming Stefania showing off her engagement ring in an Instagram post, holding aloft a glass of what appears to be red wine.
Gavin, who has had massive success in Ireland and worldwide, is about to embark on a tour of Ireland and Europe with dates announced for the Netherlands later this year, as well as the Spiegeltent Festival in Wexford in October.
Congratulations have been pouring in from fans and colleagues in the music and entertainment industry since the happy announcement.
