Love Island’s Sean Fitzgerald’s sister has revealed what the family really thinks about his appearance on the show.
The GAA star made his bleach blonde debut in the villa on Monday, but according to his sister Katie, viewers haven’t seen the real Sean in action just yet.
She also revealed that she had to explain the good and ‘the bad’ points of the show to her parents, who had never seen it before, and how they feel about his being on the show.

‘They’re nervous, they watched it for the first time ever, and they enjoyed it, to be fair. They thought he came across really well and like, natural,’ she told Ireland AM, although she added that he did get a talking to from them before he flew out.
Katie also admitted that she was ‘a ball of nerves’ watching him on Monday, despite regularly seeing him on screen with his football and on TikTok.
One episode down, and she says that Sean appears to be easing his way into the show and that she’s hopeful to see more of his personality as it goes on.
‘You can really see his personality on TikTok, and I feel like, so far in last night’s episode, he didn’t really show that side of him yet, but hopefully now in the next couple of episodes.’
The first episode saw Sean pair up with Lola, the detective, and Katie approves, for the sweetest reason.

‘I really like her, I feel like so far she’s coming across quite shy, but hopefully in the next couple of episodes she will kind of come out of her comfort zone and stuff, but I think she might calm Sean down a bit sometimes because he’s a bit mad!
Katie also weighed in on Sean’s brave hairstyle, explaining: ‘Loads of people like it, he [previously] got it done last year and loads of people liked it, so he had to do what people liked.’
