Seán ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald and Charleen Murphy are set to return to the Love Island villa this weekend.

Galway GAA player Fitzy and Dublin influencer Charleen were dumped from the villa — Fitzy as an original member of this season, and Charleen as a Casa Amor girl — as the season progressed.

With five couples hoping to reach the final this Monday (July 27), a final twist has come this weekend — the dumped islanders, including Fitzy and Charleen, will return to the villa at the end of Friday’s episode.

A preview of Sunday’s episode saw the dumped islanders returning to the villa, where they’re set to banish a couple from the island.

Love Island host Maya Jama will ask each dumped Islander which couple they believe are least compatible, with the couple who receive the most votes set to be dumped just before Monday’s final.

A source told the Sun that the dumped islanders flew back in to the villa on Thursday, with the segment being filmed on Friday. It will air on Sunday before the live final on Monday.

The original islanders, including Fitzy’s partner Lola, and Casa Amor bombshells who made it back into the main villa will return for the segment.

Charleen ended up being dumped shortly after making her way into the main villa, while Fitzy and Lola volunteered to leave the villa after they were made vulnerable by the public vote.

Speaking after leaving the villa, Charleen gave her real thoughts on Fitzy, after she was asked if there was ever a chance she would couple up with the Galway full-back.

‘I think it’s more friend vibe. I think that’s the vibe I got from in there,’ she told Extra.ie.

‘He’s quite locked off, and how do you have that conversation? Maybe if I pulled him over for a chat, maybe it could’ve been a chat. But I think the way it was and the way I felt about Kavan instead just makes more sense.’

Charleen also admitted there was another Islander she would have liked to get to know if things with Kavan hadn’t progressed so quickly.

‘I mean, Lorenzo’s lovely, and he’s gorgeous-looking, but I think him and Julia make so much sense,’ she said.

‘I think even if things were different and I got to know him, they would’ve still ended up together. So I think how it happened was how it was meant to happen.’
