A little bit of kindness can go a long way, and this week, Niamh De Brún thanked a stranger for giving her a ‘lovely little pick me up’ on the day her son Sean Óg went into hospital

Niamh, who shares two children with her hurling star husband T.J Reid, spoke about the surprise act of kindness which came about when she went to pick up dinner for her eldest, Harper.

On the way to bring Sean Óg’s big sister Harper home, the pair stopped at the McDonald’s Drive-Thru and were taken aback when they had discovered their meal had already been paid for.

‘We were just going through the McDonald’s drive-through in Kilkenny because poor Sean Óg was actually in hospital’, Niamh began.

Explaining what led up to five-month-old Sean Óg being admitted to hospital, the content creator continued: ‘I went to the doctor with the two of them this afternoon, and the doctor referred him over to the hospital, so I have been with him since this afternoon.’

When Niamh’s husband T.J came to relieve her at the hospital, the mother-and-daughter duo headed for home, first stopping for food on the way.

She recalled: ‘I was going through the drive-thru McDonald’s to get her dinner, very healthy, I know. We went to pay and the man was like, “Oh, the car in front of you has paid for your order.”‘

‘It was a lovely little pick me up this evening, with Sean Óg going into hospital, and obviously he’ll be fine but we’re worried about him, so it was just a really nice deed’, Niamh sweetly added and thanked the girls who were in the car ahead of them.

What a lovely gesture!
