Irish Music Month Returns This September

And we're seeking Waterford's most talented music artists in our Irish Music Month A New Local Hero Search for 2024. If you’re in a band or are a solo artist, your work could be featured live on WLR in September.

You could also be in with a chance to win an overall €10,000 prize fund, get your record released and have your music played on radio stations across the country, in association with Hot Press, IBI, and Coimisiún na Meán’s Sound and Vision fund.

For August, we are asking all original Waterford bands, and artists to submit their music to us, by simply emailing a downloadable WAV or 320 MP3 copy of your song, picture and a short bio to [email protected]

Original songs are only accepted.
Artists must submit one song per act.
Song submissions must be a downloadable WAV or 320 MP3 file.
Artists can be established or emerging.
If you are successful, you will receive a monetary prize for getting through to the WLR finals.
Entries are accepted until 5 pm on Friday, August 16th.
If you are a qualifier you are requested to record this song live in Waterford on August 24th
