Michelle Dockery has become a first-time mum after announcing her pregnancy at the Downton Abbey film premiere in 2025.
The new mum, 44, and her partner, Jasper Waller-Bridge, met through mutual friends in 2019 and tied the knot in 2023.
Now, days after the parents were seen enjoying a night out at the theatre, a friend has shared that their little one arrived a number of months ago.

‘Michelle had a boy,’ a friend told MailOnline. ‘She and Jasper are thrilled, and they are loving being parents.
‘She gave birth around four months ago, and life is really good for her after the horrid heartache she has been through.’
Prior to her relationship with Jasper, Michelle was engaged to Irish publicist John Dineen, who tragically died at 34 after a battle with an aggressive cancer.

In a rare comment about their relationship, Michelle told The Guardian in 2017 that she considered herself ‘a widow.’
Michelle, best known for playing Lady Mary in Downton Abbey, stunned fans when she displayed her bump in a powder blue silk dress at the premiere of Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale in September.
Following the big reveal at the premiere, she joked that she was ‘disappointed’ that their dog Alfie wasn’t more excited by her pregnancy news.

‘Well, people keep asking me, “Does he know? You know, they’re so sensitive. He doesn’t care. I don’t think he has any clue,’ Michelle told Jimmy Fallon.
When the host suggested that Alfie might be more aware of her pregnancy than she thought, she replied: ‘I’m quite disappointed.’
