Maura Higgins has given her followers an update on her England home as renovations continue.

The Longford-born reality star has seen her career go from strength to strength following hugely popular stints on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here and the US version of The Traitors.

After buying a house in the UK — which she aptly titled ‘Casa A-Maura’ — she has been sharing how the renovations are coming along, saying in a new update that while she’s moved out of the house for the time being, she’s looking forward to seeing the finished product.

‘So much to update going on!’ Maura said during an Instagram Q&A. ‘I actually moved out while the renovations are happening because I was really struggling with all the dust.

‘And with how much I’m flying and travelling back & forth for work, I just needed somewhere I could unpack, repack and head straight back to the airport without living on a building site,’ she joked.

‘Everything’s still very much in progress & the builders have been just cracking on,’ she continued. ‘I’m going back to the house really soon to check in on everything. I can’t wait to show you all when it’s ready! The transformation is going to be so crazy.’

Maura gave her last renovation update last month, when she shared how her master bedroom was coming along while House Tour by Sabrina Carpenter played in the background.

‘New doors are in (handles to be changed), cornice and panelling are complete, and the new lighting and wall switches are now installed,’ Maura wrote at the time.

‘Still to come: the LED fireplace, TV, carpet & furniture!! I want it done NOW!!!’

Maura also shared a video of her bathroom, which she joked was ‘still a shambles,’ as well as her living room and garden, with her then heading to her soon-to-be home office, which, at the moment, is chock-full of boxes, clothes hangers and luggage.

Maura’s home renovations come as she is in ‘advanced’ talks to host a reboot of the iconic reality dating show Blind Date, which is rumoured to be rebooted on Disney+.
