Mary Kennedy and her sister Deirdre were among the thousands who attended Dermot Kennedy’s hotly anticipated gig in the Aviva Stadium on Sunday.

The ladies were proud aunties as they watched their superstar nephew perform his hits, including Power Over Me and Giants, from their seats in the stands.

The RTÉ presenter revealed Dermot left her speechless during the gig, sharing a snap on social media to say she had ‘no words,’ adding that the show was ‘pure class.’

Mary particularly enjoyed the crooner’s rendition of Standing on St Brigid’s Road, sharing a clip to her social media. And the party didn’t end there!

Dermot was joined by Mary and Deirdre at the concerts afterparty, as they celebrated his two Irish stadium gigs.

‘Two proud aunties,’ Mary gushed as they posed beside Dermot in the pub. ‘You were outstanding.’ The trio beamed as they wrapped their arms around each other.

Mary took full advantage of the sunny spell, opting to wear an olive green strappy dress for the occasion, while her sister wore a white lace number.

The women are no strangers to seeing Dermot perform live, as they travelled to Limerick to watch him perform back in 2023.

Dermot has long been close to his RTÉ star aunt, revealing that he often looked to her when trying to navigate newfound fame in the early stages of his career.

‘It’s not even that she ever sat me down and gave me advice, or told me how to do it,’ he acknowledged, adding, ‘But she leads by example and sets a beautiful example,’ he previously told the Irish Mirror.
