Do the usual guest dressing rules apply to royal weddings? Perhaps not, but in fairness, if Kate Middleton wanted to come to our wedding, she could wear whatever she wanted!

The Princess of Wales was among the members of The Firm stepping out on Saturday to celebrate Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling’s marriage in the Cotswolds.

Although wedding guests usually steer clear of light colours, Kate opted for a cream coloured dress by one of her favourite designers.

The Princess looked fabulous in the Folded Collar Belted Boucle Dress by Roland Mouret, which has a full skirt and short sleeves.

Buttons down the front and a thin belt helped give the dress a chic structure, and Kate accessorised her outfit with nude heels and a coordinating boater-style hat.

If you’d like to add the dress to your own eventswear collection, then we’ve great news as it’s still in stock on the designer’s website and is under €1000, just.

The Folded Collar Belted Boucle Dress is priced at €940 and is currently only sold out in a size 10.

Also looking stylish at the royal wedding were Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, with Beatrice opting to rewear a floral midi she previously wore to Royal Ascot.

Of course, the real style star of the day was the bride, Harriet, who looked incredible in a fitted white dress with lacy sleeves and a high neck.

Harriet completed her bridal look with a large veil, sweetly carried into the church by her daughter and two soon-to-be stepdaughters, and a sparkling tiara.
