James Kavanagh contacts gardaí after gang ‘absolutely pelt’ him with eggs in Dublin

Irish influencer James Kavanagh has revealed he contacted gardaí after being ‘pelted with eggs’ by a group of around 15 youths in Dublin city centre.
The TV host and podcaster took to Instagram to share images of the aftermath, showing raw egg splattered through his hair, over his white T-shirt and dripping down the back of his neck following the incident on Mercer Street.
Sharing a selfie shortly afterwards, James wrote: ‘Just got absolutely PELTED with eggs by a gang of 15 lads.’

A second image gave followers a closer look at the damage, with egg caked through his hair as he described the force with which they had been thrown.
‘Absolutely stunning start and abrupt end to my evening,’ he wrote.
‘Like the force they threw them was unhinged. Would have blinded someone.’

James later shared another update, revealing he had contacted An Garda Síochána following the incident.
The posts prompted an outpouring of support, with followers condemning the incident and several sharing similar stories of being randomly targeted while out in Dublin.

The influencer, who now lives in Kilkenny with his partner William Murray, regularly shares updates on life away from Dublin after the couple swapped city living for a quieter lifestyle in the countryside.
