Irish sports presenter Aisling O’Reilly had some very exciting news for her followers at the weekend, and it had nothing to do with the results that featured in Croke Park.
The GAA+ presenter, married her partner, Colm Maginn, nearly two years ago in Portugal, with family and friends coming from several different countries to celebrate with the couple.
Since then, she has become a recognisable name and face when it comes to GAA and couldn’t help but incorporate the sport into her announcement.

It had been a busy day for the presenter as she co-presented the panel for the All-Ireland quarter final between Mayo and Cork .
Later on that day, with everyone heading home, the Meath native posted her news in a very creative way.
Holding a GAA football in front of her, the camera begins to zoom out. As it does, she drops the ball to reveal her bump. In the caption, she wrote, ‘Our greatest teammate is on the way.’

Within minutes, messages began to flood the comment section, delighted for the presenter and her husband, Colm.
A few familiar faces left heart-warming notes, such as Niamh de Brún, who is married to Kilkenny’s TJ Reid, sports presenter Ger Treacy and RTÉ’s Katja Mia.
While Aisling didn’t reveal any dates for when the baby is due or if it is a boy or a girl, we have a feeling mum and dad have a Meath jersey at the ready.
Congratulations, Aisling and Colm!
