Singer Aimée Fitzpatrick has announced she is engaged to her longtime love, Ryan Douglas.

Ryan, who runs Glass Half Full Productions popped the question over the weekend. The couple has known each other since they were eight years old and he frequently collaborates on her music videos.

Announcing her happy news, the Swords native playfully wrote that she might have to write another song about her engagement.

She said: ‘Guess I’ll have to write a song about this one 🥹💍🤍’

Well wishes flooded her comments, including one from 2FM star Laura Fox, who wrote: ‘Ah stop!!! HUGE congratulations!! The last snap is so cute omg (sic)’

The wife of footballer Kerrie Brady also congratulated her, saying: ‘Congratulations , gorgeous news,’ while both Lyra and Una Healy shared their excitement over her news.

In 2024, the star described Ryan as ‘her favourite person in the world’.

She told us at the time: ‘He loves my style because a lot of the time he gets to steal my oversized hoodies and T-shirts.

‘We both have a very similar taste in fashion so we love to go shopping together.

‘But he is so supportive of what I do and always encourages me to be myself and to go after the career that I love,’ she added.
