Kian Egan has whisked the love of his life, Jodi Albert, away to the South of France for a romantic trip.
It’s not just any romantic trip for the lovebirds, however, as Kian and Jodi celebrated their 17th wedding anniversary on the French Riviera.
The couple has been ‘in love since the summer of 1999’, and they’re very much still head over heels for one another, even 23 years and three children down the line.
Kian and Jodi splashed the cash for their special trip abroad, staying at Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat, a Four Seasons hotel.
The luxury five-star hotel is so boujee that it was given a ‘luxury palace’ status from the French government in 2011 — and with sea views, gardens, pools, villas, Michelin-starred cuisine, and a beach club, it’s easy to see why.
Kian and Jodi shared photos from their vacation, which included photos of them enjoying breakfast on the sun-soaked coast as they looked out at the sea, glistening under the sun’s rays.
They couldn’t skip out on the picture-perfect opportunity as they took selfies smiling, with Kian kissing Jodi’s face, and Jodi posing solo for a shot in her glam all-black ensemble.
As they waited for their delicious meal, Kian and Jodi cheersed a glass of bubbly and a glass of beer to kickstart their day.
The parents-of-three also couldn’t resist taking photos outside their boujee hotel. Who can blame them?
Jodi leaned into the South of France chic, wearing a beautiful white lace top over a black cami, and accessorising with a fabulous black-and-white polka dot neck scarf.
During their trip, the couple enjoyed pain au chocolat in bed, and some oysters in a restaurant with sea views. It looked idyllic!
Jodi even picked up something in Hermès on her travels.
Jodi and Kian first crossed paths at a festival when she was just 15, and he was four years old at 19. It wasn’t until four years later that the couple started dating.
It was on May 8, 2009, that the couple made it down the aisle. Their lavish wedding ceremony was held in Barbados, and reportedly cost €1million.
Kian proposed on Christmas Day the year before.
Barbados holds a special place in their hearts, as it was where they first holidayed together. Kian previously said: ‘In 2003, I took Jodi to Barbados. We had only been together for eight weeks.
‘As soon as you arrive in Barbados, you know you’re on holiday as everyone’s friendly and laid-back. It’s a bit like Ireland. We enjoyed the place so much, we decided to have our wedding there.’
Two years later, the couple welcomed their first child, a son they named Koa. Their second son Zekey arrived in May 2015, and rounding out the family was baby Cobi, who was born in 2017.
The rest, as they say, is history, as here Jodi and Kian are, 23 years later!
