Rory McIlroy and Erica Stoll certainly learned a thing or two whilst onThe Devil Wears Prada 2 set because the couple looked elegant when it came to the White House state dinner.

While the famously private pair didn’t share a snap of themselves at the prestigious event, a photo of them has emerged.

The Irishman and his wife, who he married in 2017, matched in classy black looks as they posed in Washington, D.C. The dinner was held for King Charles and Queen Camilla as they visited the US.

Erica paid homage to a former resident of the White House, as she had her make-up done by Michelle Obama’s go-to man, Carl Ray. It was, in fact, Carl who shared the snap of Rory and Erica.

Now it has emerged that Dublin stylist Ingrid Hoey was the mastermind behind their looks. She posted to her Instagram ‘Always fun working with Erica and Rory, both these looks were a dream to style, ( I had great models to be fair..😉 ).

While the golf champion looked dapper in a tailcoat tuxedo by Tom Ford and Ralph Lauren, Ingrid chose a floor-length gown by Lebanese designer Elie Saab for Erica. The strapless dress featured a chic floral design, a heart-shaped neckline, a form-fitting bodice, and a long, flowing skirt.

The embroidered tulle gown is available in sizes 6-20 and comes in at €6,626. You can check the look out here.

Erica wore her blonde hair back in a low bun to show off the dress’s ruffled neckline. She kept some short strands loose around her face, curled into tendrils.

Once again, the mum-of-one kept it simple on the jewellery front, opting to go without a necklace. Instead, she accessorised with long black gloves that stopped above her elbow, and a matching clutch bag.

Ingrid is no stranger to dressing golf stars. The personal stylist helped create the looks for the players wives at the opening ceremony of the 2025 Ryder Cup in conjunction with Diane Donald, wife of Luke Donald, who she also styles.
