2026 is the year of cinema, and there are plenty of new releases to sink our teeth into every month.
In June, whether you’re a rom-com fanatic, a fantasy fiend, or want a bit of childhood charm, there’s definitely a film coming to the big screen for you.
With that in mind, here are the five films we’re most excited for over the next month:
Office Romance – June 5

JLo’s upcoming rom-com, Office Romance, is shaping up to be the ultimate girls’ night in watch with plenty of cheesy one-liners and tropes that’ll have us relaxing on the sofa.
The singer plays Jackie Cruz, the CEO of an airline, who is every inch the boss b***h but who ends up falling for her lawyer, Daniel Blanchflower, played by Brett.
It’s clear that the pair have a connection stronger than a typical boss and employee, and their chemistry only gets stronger, and things take a more serious turn on a trip to the Dominican Republic.

Masters of the Universe – June 5

Masters of the Universe is a sword and sorcery film, and boasts a star-studded cast that includes Nicholas Galitzine, Idris Elba, Jared Leto, Riverdale’s Camila Mendes, and Dave Franco’s wife, Alison Brie.
Its official synopsis reads: ‘After being separated for 15 years, the Sword of Power leads Prince Adam Glenn back to Eternia, where he discovers his home has been destroyed and is now under the rule of powerful warlord and sorcerer, Skeletor.
‘In order to reclaim his family legacy and save the world, Adam must join forces with his closest allies, Teela and Man-At-Arms, and embrace who he is truly meant to be: He-Man, the most powerful man in the universe.’

The film marks yet another collaboration between director Spielberg and writer David Koepp, who previously worked together on Jurassic Park and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
It sees a star-studded cast, including Emily Blunt, Colin Firth, Eve Hewson, Colman Domingo, and Josh O’Connor, dealing with the discovery of aliens.

Scary Movie 6 revives the parody-horror franchise after more than a decade.
Films such as Get Out, Longlegs, Sinners, Scream (2022), Scream VI (2023), Halloween (2018), Smile, M3GAN, The Substance, and Weapons have all been confirmed to be parodied.
There are references to Jason Voorhees from the Friday the 13th franchise, Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise, Sue Ann ‘Ma Ellington from Ma, Wednesday Addams, and the Heart Eyes Killer from Heart Eyes.
The film also parodies the 2026 film Michael, with Kenan Thompson playing Michael Jackson.

We’re more than ready to relive our childhood through Toy Story 5.
This time, Woody, Buzz, Jessie, and the gang are joined by a new addition who threatens the toys’ very existence, and it’s all very 2026 coded.
The latest character is a smart tablet called Lilypad, a high-tech frog-shaped smart tablet, which quickly becomes the new obsession in the playroom. Is the age of the toy over? (We sure hope not!)
