Get ready, folks, as Love Island is returning to our screens this summer, and this week Virgin Media Television have finally announced its launch date.
Now in its 13th season, it promises to be hotter, sexier and with plenty of mischief in the villa.
Making their way to the sun-kissed island of Mallorca, singletons will be testing their flirting skills and trying to find true love.
Fans were treated to the news this morning with this post on their social media, which read ‘Don’t get pied off on the sidelines, your season ticket to the villa’s hottest fixture is secure,’ followed by the on-air date.
Presenter Maya Jama will be returning to the hosting seat and is ready to put potential couples through their pace.
They will dive headfirst into a summer that will put their ‘love’ to the test. Heads will be turned, hearts may be broken, and there may be tears, be they joyful or not, but fans will definitely be entertained no matter what.
The show, which is in its 11th year, is just as popular as ever, with at least one Irish face making an appearance on the show, and some believe they may already know who.

Galway footballer Seán Fitzgerald is reportedly in the running to appear on the forthcoming series and was noticeably absent in Sunday’s regional final against Roscommon. However, this is yet to be confirmed.
This could be the summer of love (and money) for one lucky couple, so if you want something hot and spicy as well as a bucket full of drama, well, make sure to have June 1 in your diary.
