Ryan Gosling can finally sleep easy at night knowing that a film faux pas of his has been corrected.

A new poster has been unveiled to celebrate the 10th anniversary of his smash hit film La La Land, but only eagle-eyed fans will spot the change.

Through the years, the actor has been ‘haunted’ by a decision he made during the filming of one of the key scenes in the Oscar-winning hit.

He made a move that proved to be the wrong one during the dance scene he shares with his co-star Emma Stone, with the glittering Los Angeles skyline in the distance.

‘We were supposed to have our hands up,’ he said in an interview with The Wall Street Journal in 2024.

‘I thought it would be cool to put my hand [more flat] even though everyone told me it wasn’t cool,’ he explained. ‘I was sure it was cooler.’

His unchoreographed hand position would go on to become a big regret in his career as that image became the official poster for the musical that earned him an Oscar nomination for Best Actor.

The Project Hail Mary star said that as he had to look at the visual the whole time, it became clear that the intended move would have been cooler.

‘It just killed the energy,’ he said before revealing that he had branded it the ‘La La Hand’.

Fans of the film responded very passionately to the tweak, with one writing: ‘Best horror movie I’ve ever watched’.

‘PUT BACK HIS LIMP WRIST IMMEDIATELY,’ another commented.
