The Cadogan household is going to be very busy in the coming months as former Cork hurler Alan Cadogan and his wife, Maeve Dooley, are getting ready to become parents.
A dual-player for the rebels, Alan made his senior hurling debut for his county in 2014 and would go on to pick up two Munster SHC titles in 2014 and 2017.
Now, two years on from their wedding, the couple is expanding their family with not just one but two babies!

They announced the news, saying: ‘We are so blessed to have two babies on the way. Our next exciting chapter begins.’
Chatting to EVOKE, Maeve said: ‘We were absolutely shocked when we found out we couldn’t believe it, but it was the best surprise, and we are so grateful to be expecting two babies.’
Bursting with excitement, she said, ‘They are going to be identical twins too, which will be lots of fun.’

Maeve added that, so far, her pregnancy has been going okay and that she and Alan are concentrating on getting everything ready.
She said: ‘We are currently in the process of picking out buggies and all that goes with babies. We have a few names picked out, but nothing definite yet!

‘For now, we are just living in the joy of what’s to come as we await our two bundles of joy.’
Due at the end of August, Maeve said: ‘We are keeping the gender a surprise until the babies arrive.’
When asked if Alan has two mini Cork jerseys ready to go, Maeve laughed, saying ‘Haha, definitely.’

Maeve and Alan have been together for ten years and are just one example of a Tinder success.
They tied the knot in 2024, surrounded by friends, family, and a few well-known faces in the sporting world, including Seamus Harnedy, Conor Lehane, Shane Kingston, former manager Kieran Kingston, and Patrick Horgan.
After the ceremony at Maeve’s local church in Rathcormac, their reception was at Castlemartyr Resort.
