Seán ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald is settling back into real life after a stint on Love Island – and he’s given a shoutout to his Irish supporters.

The teacher and GAA star left the villa a couple of weeks ago with Lola Deal, with them volunteering to leave rather than being dumped as they’d found what they were looking for.

Now making plans for the future, which includes a move to the Emerald Isle for former detective Lola, Fitzy has shared a few photo highlights of his time on the show.

Several snaps show the budding bromance between Fitzy and Lorenzo, including one photo of them showing off their muscles and another of them sharing a piece of chocolate.

Others show Fitzy’s silly side, with him bumping bums with Priya and messing around with other Islanders in funny selfies – where was this personality when the cameras were rolling?!

‘Thanks so much to everyone for the love and support when I was in the villa and the continued love and support I’m still receiving,’ Fitzy wrote in the caption to his sweet post-villa post.

He continued: ‘I will try to get back to all the messages as soon as I can; they really mean everything to me. I’m so lucky to have met such amazing people, made best friends and left with a Bovril-loving pocket rocket.

‘A special shoutout to all the Irish who have had my back throughout the entire experience; it doesn’t go unnoticed.’

Fellow former Islanders from the season, Namibia, Ellie, Olivia, and Tommy, led the comments under Fitzy’s post with Olivia saying the show had given her the ‘best memories ever.’

Someone else requested that Fitzy ‘bring Lorenzo to Galway’ and we can definitely get behind that request, while someone else said Fitzy was the ‘King of the villa’.

‘The most genuine guy I have ever seen on Love Island, you should be so very proud of yourself,’ wrote one fan while another person said: ‘You were amazing in the villa.’

The final countdown is now on for the Love Island final, with just two more shows left before Monday’s big extravaganza. Who do you think will win?
