There is nothing better than a reunion, and while it may not have been on the pitch, the Brogan brothers gathered for a major milestone.

A name that will forever echo in Dublin football: Alan, Bernard, Paul and, of course, their dad, Bernard Snr. The Brogan family have all made a huge impact on the sport.

However, while football may be up there with food, water and oxygen, family time is just as important to them.

Paul, the youngest brother, whom many of you may remember from the 2011 panel that beat Kerry, celebrated turning the big 4-0.

If sport is not your thing, those who watched RTÉ’s Dancing with the Stars in 2023 may remember the former footballer swapping his football boots for dancing shoes.

The family gathered for a big celebration in the Dame Tavern with one very impressive cake – which focused on Paul’s love of gold rather than footy.

His brother Bernard posted a few pictures of them together, showing the close bond the three of them have.

And of course, thrown into the mix is the famous shot of the three boys together back in 2011, holding the Sam Maguire.

Friends, family and fans jumped on the comment section to wish Paul a ‘Happy Birthday’ with a few familiar names in the mix.

Former Dublin player Eamon Fennell sent birthday wishes while singer Luke Thomas of the Swing Cats said ‘Good Man Paul, Happy Birthday.’

In response, Paul said, ‘Here’s to another 40!’

Happy Birthday, Paul!
