Ed Sheeran has been spotted in Belfast during the Fleadh, posing with fans at a local ice cream shop.
Ed announced last week that he’s set to expand his foundation, the Ed Sheeran Foundation, into Ireland — with his first project with the organisation taking place at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann, which kicked off in Belfast this week.
With the Fleadh’s finale taking place on Sunday (August 9), Ed — who played the Fleadh in Wexford last year — has been spotted out and about in the city.
One of the places Ed headed to was ice cream shop A Few Scoops, with the star happily posing alongside one of the employees on Thursday.
‘Look who called to visit us this morning on his way to the Fleadh!!’ the ice cream shop wrote on their Instagram.

Ed recently announced that he was bringing his Foundation to Ireland, which will include a cross-border initiative between Cork and Belfast.
50 young people performed at City Hall in Belfast as part of the initiative, with four core activities set to take place between now and the end of the year, including youth-led gigs in Cork and Belfast.
‘I’m so happy to be bringing the Ed Sheeran Foundation to Ireland,’ Ed said of the new collaboration. ‘I’ve spent loads of time in the country over the years.’
‘Having family roots there, it’s a place that’s always been special to me. Every child should have the opportunity to learn and take part in music, and we’re continuing our work to help make that a reality.
‘The first project kicks off at The Fleadh on Monday. I played the festival last year and have such fond memories of it. If you’re there, go and check out some of the incredible young talent.’
