Yvonne Connolly is following in her eldest daughter, Missy’s, footsteps and entering the world of acting. The former model has revealed she is set to star in a new film with some Hollywood heavy hitters.
The mum-of-three revealed that she has taken on a small role in the upcoming Irish production, 500 Miles. She will play Game of Thrones’ star Maisie Williams ‘ mother in the film, which is set to drop in the coming days.
Maisie isn’t the only big name tied to 500 Miles, as Bill Nighy fronts the film, alongside Clare Dunne, Michael Socha, Roman Griffin Davis, and Dexter Sol Ansell.

Yvonne joked that her character Emer came easily to her as she is ‘basically an angry version’ of herself.’ That was likely aided by the fact that she got to do something she loves while filming… ride a horse!
The 52-year-old took to social media to reveal the news, writing: ‘On set of 500 Miles, a movie I played a small role in. It’s out this week in Ireland and next week in the UK.’

‘@portpictures_ie is making some amazing Irish movies. Go see it. You won’t be disappointed. Beautiful, poignant movie,’ she added. ‘I played Emer (basically an angry version of myself ), Maisie Williams mother. I had the best day ever!
‘In a movie ..on a horse… doing a stunt,’ she penned, tagging fashion designer Louise Kennedy. ‘Thank you for making my childhood dream come true!!’ she added.

It comes as no surprise that she has been bitten by the acting bug, as her new husband, John Conroy, also works in film as a cinematographer.
500 Miles follows two brothers, who run away from home in England to reach their estranged grandfather on Ireland’s west coast. The movie is directed by Morgan Mathews and written by Malcom Campbell.
