Charleen Murphy has shared that she’s heading abroad, as rumours of her joining Love Island have been taking over the internet.
Rumours that influencer Charleen was villa-bound heated up ahead of Love Island’s return to our screens on Monday (June 1).
While Ireland will be represented in the villa in the form of Galway GAA full-back Sean ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald, Charleen wasn’t included in the initial lineup — although the prospect of her appearing on the show as a bombshell are still on the cards.

While fans believe that Charleen may, in fact, become a bombshell on the show, the influencer is actually jetting off — to Portofino in Italy.
Taking to her Instagram on Wednesday morning, Charleen teased that she was heading abroad, eventually revealing that she was heading to the Italian Riviera.
Charleen shared a photo of her meal being delivered to her at the airport, captioning the pic: ‘Let’s go to Portofinooo’ alongside three emojis.

She also tagged Primark (the UK name for Penneys) in the story, implying that she is heading to Italy on a brand trip.
It was reported last month that Charleen was in ‘early talks’ with ITV to head on the show, with her close friendship with Love Island alum Lucinda Strafford having some believe that she was a shoo-in to head to the villa.
While she isn’t going to the villa (yet, anyway), Ireland will be represented by Sean Fitzgerald, who sparked rumours that he was villa-bound after he dropped out of the Galway senior football panel ahead of the All-Ireland Championship season.

The footballer and primary school teacher has gained over 94,000 followers on social media off the pitch, while on the pitch he won four Connacht championships and lined out for Galway against Armagh in the All-Ireland final.
Asked to describe his type on paper, Sean simply replied: ‘Female!’
The Galway footballer also admitted he is open to both romance and drama during his time on the show.
‘I’m here for love but also here for drama,’ he said. ‘I won’t be getting involved in it, I might be mixing it!’
Love Island returns to our screens on Monday, June 1.
