It’s big celebrations in the Ó Se household this week as the TV presenter hit the big 5-0, and we have a feeling Dáithí will be making it a birthday to remember.

With RTÉ Today Show wrapping up for the summer on Friday, the Kerryman is getting ready to enjoy the summer with his family.

And speaking of family, his son, Ógie, presented his dad with a very special gift on his 50th, highlighting just how much his dad means to him.

Posting a picture on his stories, Dáithí showed his followers his special present, which was a collage of photos of Dáithí and Ógie over the years.

Each picture represents a special father and son memory, be it down on the beach in their home county of Kerry, being on stage together, or lifting the Sam Maguire Cup, as Dáithí and Ógie are big GAA fans.

In the middle, it read ‘Happy 50th Birthday Dad,’ with Dáithí writing above how this was the ‘best present ever!’

And wife Rita also got in on the action by taking a shot of Dáithí first thing in the morning and posting it to make sure everyone remembers what day it is.

With what looks like bedhead hair, Dáithí posed for a shot wearing the t-shirt that read ‘Aged to Perfection Vintage 1976 100 per cent Original Parts.’

She wished her husband a big happy birthday, stating, ‘Big bday today 5-0’ with party face emojis.

While many may find hitting 50 a big deal, the presenter spoke to EVOKE last month about his birthday, hoping for something quiet.

Chatting about the milestone, he said: ‘I do not really know how I feel about it, to be honest.

‘I would like to get a few people together at some stage, have a few pints and stuff like that, but nothing too over the top.’
