Charleen Murphy has finally been confirmed as the latest bombshell on Love Island.
It has been rumoured for months that the Dublin influencer was villa bound, with many believing that she was going to enter the villa as a bombshell ‘any day now.’
While Charleen continued posting on social media as if everything was normal, many believed that she had ‘pre-made’ a series of posts while she was meant to be on lockdown before entering the villa.
It appeared that Charleen mightn’t have been going into the villa after all, however, after she shared that she was at the Olivia Dean concert in Marlay Park last week — meaning that she was still in the country.
Despite the confusion and speculation, the worst-kept secret has finally been unveiled, as Charleen is one of 12 bombshells heading to Casa Amor as unveiled on Friday night’s episode.
Speaking ahead of her entering Casa Amor, Charleen said that her type on paper is ‘tall with kind eyes. Definitely someone’s vibe is really important to me, like I could see a picture of someone and think they’re unreal but if they’re not a good guy, or fun, then I won’t like them.’
As for who she has her eye on in the villa, Charleen joked that she was ‘being greedy’ as she’s eyeing up brothers Kavan and Aidan, as well as Lorenzo — and, of course, Ireland’s own Sean ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald.
‘They have bits of my type in each of them but I think I’d need to see that and to actually chat to them properly,’ Charleen said. ‘Kavan I would say out of all of them is my actual type on paper. I’m excited to get to know all of them.’
As for her strategy as a bombshell, Charleen said all she needs to do is be herself — and, much like Fitzy, she says she’ll be bringing the Irish charm.
‘I’m naturally a flirty person, I’ve got a good heart and good energy,’ Charleen said. ‘I think if you go in with too much of a strategy, it’s like you’re forcing it and not being yourself.
‘I’m going to be myself and go with what my heart says and follow my gut. I’ll talk to everyone, give everyone a chance, even people I might not necessarily have my eye on because people could surprise you so you never know! I’ll be bringing the Irish charm.’
