
Ariana Grande is taking a break from the spotlight after endless scrutiny about her weight among other things have become too much for the star.
The Wicked actress’ health and physical appearance has been widely discussed recently, despite the hitmaker asking fans not to comment on her weight.
A representative for Ariana told People magazine that she ‘will be taking a step back from visibility’ when her Eternal Sunshine tour ends, after her appearances led to ‘endless, ongoing public scrutiny.’

However, they insist that the 33-year-old is ‘healthy and happy’ and looking forward to ending her tour ‘on a high note.’
‘And then taking a much-deserved break from public-facing work and appearances, which has led to endless, ongoing public scrutiny,’ the added.

The spokesman added that Ariana performs ‘a very physical show’ every night, with a lot of ‘athleticism’ involved.
The news comes after Ariana shared a promo video for her new album, Petal, where her character is constantly critiqued.

She is told in auditions that she is ‘not good enough, desperate’ and that she ‘should get some work done.’ Arianna then takes a chainsaw to the critics in the clip.
The 33-year-old had been set to travel to London to front a musical, alongside her Wicked co-star, British actor Jonathan Bailey.

The pair in the new production of the 1984 musical Sunday in the Park with George. While Ariana will not longer be involved, the show will still go on.
