Alicia Silverstone has fallen in love with Ireland since moving here to film her latest work, Irish Blood, and it seems she has also ‘adopted’ one of our own actresses.
After the success of season one, where the Clueless actress portrays an L.A. divorce lawyer who travels to Ireland to investigate her dad’s death, Acorn TV excited fans everywhere when it was revealed that there would be a second season.
While fans have engrossed themselves in the secrets, lies, and betrayals in the first instalment, they have also enjoyed the offscreen stories that Alicia had been posting on her social media while living in Ireland for the first season. Now that season two is in full swing, they are being treated to another helping.

This week, the American movie star posted a selfie with actress Dearbhla Molloy on her socials, highlighting the tight bond they have.
Alicia wrote in the caption: ‘Reunited and it feels so good… with the fabulous Dearbhla Molloy, my TV grandmother Isidora in #IrishBlood.’
Praising Dearbhla, she said, ‘One of my favourite people on set. Clever, cool as hell, and a phenomenal actress.’

And as grandmothers do, she introduced her to the finer things in life… the crisp, cool taste of a gin and tonic!
Alicia told her fans: ‘Last season, the person I most wanted to have a drink with and take to the theatre was Dearbhla. She introduced me to my first gin and tonic, and I adored every minute of our time on and off camera.

Dearbhla is a highly acclaimed Irish actress who has worked beside some of the greatest in the business.
Her career stretches from onscreen productions such as Wild Mountain Thyme, Tara Road and No Reservations.

With no release date set for season two, the word on the grapevine is that we may see it hit our screens by the end of the summer!
And for those who haven’t got in on the action, season one of Irish Blood to stream on Now.
